Day 5- THe Final Countdown

Day 5 Friday 22nd November I took no pleasure in waking up the children this morning. To a person, they would all have slept happily on until about 10am. They danced their socks off at the disco and were all in bed for 10pm and asleep by 10.30pm. Packing has now begun feverishly with the most competent packers and first ones ready being Logan and Adam, who are now helping others who are 'less ready.' The bus will arrive at 9.30am and we will let you all know if we are on time, depending on the A9. It has been a joy. More sleep could have been had, being honest, but the way everyone tackled the activities has made school and camp staff really happy. This is the end of our blog............ until the next time! Mr Napier, Mrs Simpson, Mrs Gaunt, Mrs Gillies and Mrs Gilbertson x

Day 4- After the wind......

Day 4 Thursday 21st November Last night was really windy that rocked the valley where we are. The noise woke up one or two of our happy campers but they did manage to get back to sleep. Breakfast this morning was toast, cereal and bacon rolls. The first dorm got a 10 out of 10 for their inspection this morning so the girls in the dorm were delighted. Mr Napier was taking part in archery. Bradley was amazing at it and won the game we played once we had refined our skills. Justina started off strong but struggled to score highly towards the end. Laurie kept on getting a good grouping (how close all your arrows were to the others.) Logan was also very confident and hitting the centre fairly frequently. Ellya was also very strong at archery. Lucy and Kerys wearing matching jackets required for putting up targets.  Adam finding his confidence when firing arrows.  Bradley loving his archery this morning.  Ellya loving the archery this morning....

Day 3 The frost is gone

Day 3 Wednesday 20th November The last to go to sleep last night was Kerys in the girl's dorm and Chris in the boy's dorm. The first ones to fall asleep were Adam, Kian, Aaron and Aaron. Hayden and Calum were the first awake this morning, chatting just before Mr Napier woke  everyone up at 7.30am. Today is going to be a lot warmer as it rained lightly over night which saw temperatures increase over night. Mrs Gillies arrived safely and Mrs Gilbertson got home safely. Groups have been mountain biking this morning, skiing, gorge walking and hill-walking/walking in snow shoes. Miss Gaunt has been gorge walking and got quite wet with her group (Aaron M, Sean, Amy, Emily, Skye, Freya, Mazin and Omar.) The river was quite full but also a little chilly. Mrs Simpson was out with Aaron S, Tyler, Kikilee, Sam, Xinyi, Ava. Sophia, Lazaro, Aydin and Hayden. After one or two small tumbles at the start they were soon racing through the forest on the dirt tracks. Mrs Gillies is out...
